Exciting Updates and Opportunities for Broken Pew Ministries! 06-10-2024

Dear Supporters of Broken Pew Ministries,

I am thrilled to share with you some exciting updates from our ministry. We have taken significant steps forward in our mission to serve our community and spread the message of faith and hope. I am pleased to announce that we have formed our first board of directors and have successfully applied for our 501c3 status, a crucial milestone in our journey.

In order to continue our important work, we are in desperate need of both English and Spanish Bibles. Your contributions of these essential resources will help us reach more individuals and make a lasting impact in their lives.

I am also thrilled to introduce our new Bible course, "Path to Your Calling," designed for those called to ministry. This course will delve deep into the teachings of the Bible, helping participants not only grow in their understanding but also prepare for active roles in ministry, such as pastors and evangelists. We believe this course will empower and equip individuals to better serve their communities and spread the message of faith.

Additionally, I would like to take a moment to highlight Greenhouse Ministries of Rutherford County, Tennessee, as they celebrate their 25th year of dedicated service to the community. We encourage local support through donations of food, clothing, and financial contributions. Greenhouse Ministries is in need of mature volunteers to assist in various capacities, including at the Garden Patch Thrift Shop and as counselors for their clients. For more information on how you can support Greenhouse Ministries, please visit www.greenhousemin.org or contact them at 615-494-0499.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each one of you for your continued support and dedication to our ministry. Your generosity and prayers enable us to make a difference in the lives of many. As we embark on this journey together, let us remember the encouraging words from Galatians 6:9, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

Thank you once again for your unwavering support, and may we continue to be a beacon of hope and faith in our community.

Blessings,

Pastor Bill

Time For Real Talk

Real talk!

Sometimes, even as a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, I find myself walking through valleys of shadow where the light seems dim. I've always believed that God placed me in my job and ministry for a reason, that there's a purpose for me there, and that I'm exactly where I'm meant to be. But, let's be honest, even the seemingly strongest among us can face days of deep discouragement. There are moments when I question everything: Am I really where God wants me to be? Am I making any difference at all?

In these moments, it's crucial to remember that these whispers of doubt and fear are not from God. They are the enemy's attempts to derail us, to sow seeds of discouragement, and to undermine the ministry God has entrusted to us. The enemy wants nothing more than to see us defeated, to see our light dim.

But here's the truth I cling to: Our God is a God of encouragement, strength, and unwavering support. He reminds us that we are not alone, even on our darkest days. In the Bible, we're told, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). This is the beacon of hope that guides me through.

So, to anyone feeling lost or questioning their path: You are where you are for a reason. You are making a difference, even if you can't see it right now. The challenges and doubts you face are not indicators of failure but are, in fact, evidence of the enemy's fear of your success in God's plan for you.

Let's remind each other to look beyond the immediate battles and see the victory that lies ahead. Let's support one another, bolster each other's faith, and stand firm in the knowledge that we are fighting a good fight. We are instruments of God's will, and through Him, we have the strength to overcome any discouragement.

Remember, the light shines brightest in the darkness. Let's be the light in our workplaces, in our communities, and in every sphere of influence God has placed us. Together, we can reflect the love and hope of Christ to a world in desperate need of it.

Be Aware and Ready for Battle!

Dear Broken Pew Ministries Family,

We are called to be vigilant and prepared, for the enemy is prowling around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). The spiritual battle we face is real, but we are not without hope or defense. The Word of God assures us that if we stand strong in our faith and stay in constant prayer, we are promised victory.

**1. Stand Firm in Faith**

"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." - James 4:7

Our first line of defense is submission to God. When we align ourselves with His will and resist the enemy's temptations, we drive him away. The strength of our faith is a fortress against the schemes of the devil.

**2. Armor Up!**

"Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes." - Ephesians 6:11

God has provided us with spiritual armor to protect ourselves:
- **The Belt of Truth**: Stand firm with the truth of God's Word.
- **The Breastplate of Righteousness**: Guard your heart with righteousness.
- **The Gospel of Peace**: Be ready to spread the good news.
- **The Shield of Faith**: Defend against the enemy's fiery darts.
- **The Helmet of Salvation**: Protect your mind with the assurance of salvation.
- **The Sword of the Spirit**: Wield the Word of God as your weapon.

**3. Stay in Prayer**

"Pray without ceasing." - 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Prayer is our lifeline to God. It strengthens our relationship with Him and equips us to face challenges with His power. Continuous prayer keeps us connected and receptive to His guidance and strength.

**4. Promise of Victory**

"But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." - 1 Corinthians 15:57

Victory is ours through Jesus Christ. No matter the battle, we can trust in the promises of God. He has already secured our triumph through His death and resurrection.

**5. Encouragement from Scripture**

"No weapon formed against you shall prosper." - Isaiah 54:17

"The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." - Exodus 14:14

"Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world." - 1 John 4:4

Let these scriptures encourage and embolden you. As we stand together in faith and prayer, we can be confident that God is with us and for us.

Let’s stay vigilant, keep our armor on, and continue to support one another in prayer. The victory is already won!

In Christ’s Love,
Pastor Bill
